The old & the new
Located less than a mile from the shores of Lake Michigan and nestled alongside the Indiana Dunes National Park, this family-owned vintage motor lodge has been providing guests with large, comfortable rooms and friendly service for nearly 70 years. We never knew Al and Sally, but we'd like to think we're making them proud!

Beginning May 2021, new owners (still family-owned) began an extensive renovation that has included fresh designs, new paint, landscaping, the addition of an outdoor seating and bonfire area, grills, picnic tables, and an updated parking lot.

Our goal is to bring fun and fresh lodging to the Michigan City area of the Indiana Dunes National Park as the area continues to grow. We know you'll love your stay!
Renovations
2021 - 2023
All rooms have been remodeled and renovations continue outdoors. Please check back with us for updates on our progress. Rooms have been outfitted with fresh paint, new flooring, lighting, and decor with mid-century boho flair, as well as brand new comfy mattresses and furniture.
Amenities
In-room refrigerators, microwaves, Keurig coffee makers and complimentary K-Cups are provided. All rooms offer cable television and 4K smart TVs, enabling guests to enjoy their favorite shows and movies from their own streaming accounts.
We are especially fond of our new fire pit area, where we provide grilling tools and long skewers for making s'mores around the fire; guests must provide their own charcoal and fluid, and s'mores kits are available in-room for purchase.

Al & Sally's is equipped with an EV charger for quests with electric vehicles.
